The Harbourside-Esquimalt Club is a licensed child care facility offering before and after school care programs to children aged 5-12, as well as a variety of social, recreational and educational evening programs for children and youth aged 5-17.

Before and After School Care (Licensed)
Compassionate and reliable staff make this popular out-of-school care facility a caring and safe place for children by fostering positive and healthy relationships, implementing intentional programming and providing nutritious snacks. Children registered in this program have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities with daily themes like: Movement Mondays, Make-It Take-It Tuesdays, Out-Trip Wednesdays, Mini-Clubs Thursdays and Kids Choice Fridays.
Time and Fees:
Before School Care: 7-8:45am, Monday-Fridays, $135/month (Breakfast Included!)
After School Care: 2:45-5:30pm, Monday-Fridays, $245/month (Snack Included)
Both of these programs are currently FULL for the 2012/13 school year.
Registration for the 2013/14 licensed out-of-school care program at the Harbourside Club will commence on March 25, 2013 for current members and May 1, 2013 for external candidates. Please note, priority registration is given to current Boys & Girls Club members and those families wanting to register in both the Before & After School Care programs. Spring Break Camp (Licensed)
We are pleased to be offering our two week Spring Break Camp again this year! Just like the Pro D days, each day of Spring Break Camp is $30/per child, and includes activities such as swimming, field games, out-trips to the beach, arts and crafts, baking and more! Drop Off & Pick Up is at the Harbourside-Esquimalt Club, 410 Macaulay Street between 7-9:30 am and 4:30- 5:30 pm. Girls Group - Ages 8-12

Girls Group is a fun and empowering group for girls ONLY, ages 8-12. The girls do fun activities, meet new friends and develop life skills in a safe and welcoming environment with our amazing staff and volunteers! The programming reflects the interest of the girls, however, typical activities include: baking, spa nights, yoga, dance, active games both inside and out, crafts, swimming, fun out-trips and so much more!
Times: Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00pm
Fees: $25 per child, per semester, (Oct- Dec, Jan-May), + $25 annual membership fee.

Boys Group - Ages 8-12
Join us on Thursday nights at Harbourside for an energetic and active evening for boys ONLY, ages 8-12. Boys Night participants have mentorship from our incredible staff and volunteers, and enjoy active games, team building, and a chance to burn off some of that extra energy. Programming aims to meet the specific interests of the participants, however typical activities include: gym games, floor hockey, scavenger hunts, food challenges, The Amazing Race, swimming, camp fires, and so much more!
Times: Thursdays, 6:00-8:00pm
Fees: $25 per child, per semester,(Oct- Dec, Jan-May), + $25 annual membership fee.

Literacy and Numeracy Programs - Ages 5 - 12
A, B, C’s and 1, 2, 3’s! We offer Literacy and Numeracy programs for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Through assessment and observation we discover each child’s comprehension and skill level and create a syllabus that is adequately engaging, challenging, and most importantly, fun! We take a 'strengths-based approach' to learning where each child receives a positive mentorship from our enthusiastic staff and a take home package to practice their skills. Small group sizes ensure more individual focus and attention.
Fees: FREE with $25 annual membership fee
Literacy: Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30pm, October 16th – December 11th
Numeracy: Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30pm, October 17th – December 18th (No program on Halloween – October 31st)

Outdoor Adventure - Ages 10 - 14
The Outdoor Adventure program offers outdoor activities and programming for youth in the Esquimalt community. Trained staff will create a safe and healthy learning environment for participants to build on their existing strengths and push themselves a little further. Through experiential, adventure-based learning activities, the youth will develop greater self-awareness and self-confidence, and build healthy relationships with the environment and their peers. Activities include: orienteering, canoeing, rock climbing, archery, hiking, community service, gardening and more. Nutritious snack and transportation are provided.
Dates: Thursdays, 2:50-5:45pm, October 25th – December 13th
Pick Up/Drop Off: Rockheights Middle School
Fees: FREE with $25 annual membership fee

We also have facility rentals at our Outdoor Centre and our downtown facility on Yates Street.

There is a small yearly non-refundable membership fee required when registering your child with Boys & Girls Club Services. The membership fees are: $25.00 per child or $45.00 per family. Subsidy applications are available at the club.
