Teen Expo
Have you heard about Victoria's Teen Expo? This one day exhibition, for tweens and teens ages 12 to 18 years, and their families, will give youth on Vancouver Island the opportunity to connect with each other, their peers, their communities and community leaders. There will be many opportunities for interaction, activities, workshops and performances for this age group. Boys & Girls Clubs will be there, so come on out! 2013 AGM
Our AGM will be held on Wednesday, May 29th from 9:30 to 11:30 at the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel & Spa in the Harbour Room. The format will be similar to past year and we will have speakers representing the program streams. Employee service awards and recognition of some of our long term Care Families will also be part of the program.
Wild About Whales
Wild About Whales is back and better than ever! WAW 2013 consists of two events: a Gala Cruise on May 4th and a Whale Derby on June 15th. Get ready to watch thousands of little rubber whales swimming down the gorge accompanied by a BBQ and family friendly activities. Stay tuned for updates about this exciting event, and check the event page regularly for the most up to date information!

Pink Shirt Day
On Wednesday February 27th 2013 we will join in the rally against bullying.Pink Shirt Day unites people in a movement to change people’s attitudes towards bullying. It teaches young people that we need to be more accepting of differences and that we cannot stand by and watch as bullying occurs around us. Our Pink Shirt Day page has all the details you need!
Bayside Christmas Craft Fair
On Thursday December 6th, 2012 our Central Saanich Club will be co-hosting a craft fair with Bayside Middle School! The proceeds from this event will benefit the programs that are jointly run by our club and the school. Come out any time between 3pm and 7:30pm and start your Christmas shopping! Wild About Whales Derby 2012

Our 2012 Wild About Whales Event raised close to $26,000 to support our afterschool programs in Greater Victoria. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, the organizing committee and the event volunteers for their contribution to the success of this event. Thank you also to everyone who contributed by purchasing 'whale adoption tickets'.

WaterWalker Film Festival
Date: Saturday, April 21st, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Lovers of paddling and the outdoors! Boys & Girls Club Outdoor Centre is hosting the Waterwalker Film Festival on Saturday, April 21st from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, featuring a selection of the best films from the festival tour. Pink Shirt Day 2012
Each year in February, Boys & Girls Club promotes Pink Shirt Day throughout Greater Victoria. In just five years Pink Shirt Day, a public awareness campaign about bullying, has grown into a national craze. Pink Shirt Day 2012 was on February 29th. Glow Snow Ball
Join us for a festive event aimed at kids ages 10 - 13 featuring glow in the dark fun, plus a live DJ and dancing. This event is at Oaklands Community Centre but you can register at any Boys & Girls Club. See this event on Facebook

Community Craft Fair
Come and support local artisans in the community and check out the silent auction. Stay for the Bayside Winter Concert at 7:00 pm. Monster Bash 2.0
Attention Boys and Ghouls! If you are 9 - 13 years old, head down to the James Bay Community Centre on October 28th for the ultimate halloween party! Activities will include an obstacle course, sumo wrestle, torture wheel, eyeball bounce, and of course, a costume comp. All to live beats from the resident DJ. Raise a Reader
Boys & Girls Clubs supported Raise a Reader Day on September 28, 2011, Volunteers and staff handed out the Times Colonist downtown from 7 am. In addition, all staff and participants stopped what they were doing at 3:10 pm to focus on reading books, newspapers, magazines or even web articles. Millstream Club is conitnuing to focus on literacy through their 'Search for Treasure, Read for Pleasure' initative. Literacy and numeracy programs are already running at our Harbourside Club. Pedal for Kids
Canadian Tire Foundation for Families launched their Pedal for Kids campaign on Tuesday, September 21st at Harbourside Boys & Girls Clubs. Jumpstart provides significant funding to Boys & Girls Club's participants. We wish them all the best for this fundraising campaign. Follow the riders' progress on their blog.
The Office Open
The Office Open took place on July 28th at The Office Lounge & Restaurant and Highland Pacific Golf Course. This event raised $7,000 to benefit Boys & Girls Club's after school programs. We are very grateful to Shelbey and everyone else who made this event so successful. Check out the feature on SNAP and in the Saanich News.
